Asteroids: Paus Franciscus

Your name is Gangnam, and the Pope awakens you from a deep, dreamy slumber, you don't remember who or what you are, and it's up to you to face your past.

In this short, Asteroids-inspired story game, float through space as you explore a fun and silly tale. This game really makes you FEEL like you have been sent by the pope to investigate a discord server that took its namesake from him and now don't remember doing so and thus have to recollect your memories.

Controls:

• WASD or Arrow Keys for Movement
• LMB, Spacebar, Enter, C, U or J for Confirm

This game was made in Godot, all custom assets were made in Krita, I don't own the pope pictures, the background image was found here and the music was found here :)

This game was made for a school project and as a spiritual successor to a duology of two short games made for and about a friend group which were never released outside of our discord server. Asteroids: Paus Franciscus was written to be enjoyed by anyone, but don't worry too much about it if names come out of nowhere or if one of the jokes goes over your head. That's just part of the intended experience :)
